Your Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius Horoscope & Reflection, According To Your Zodiac Sign

Can you feel it? The rapidity of your inner compass, spinning uncontrollably with intensity and momentum, divinely guiding you towards a completely different path? Welcome to eclipse season; a time when fated and life-altering events take you by surprise. Just breathe and surrender to the unexpected twists and turns of your soul journey.

The first eclipse of the year—happening on May 26 at 7:14 a.m. EST at exactly five degrees of Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius—something you’ve been manifesting and/or contemplating within the last six months could finally come to fruition. As you may recall, eclipses are powerful lunations, and though a full moon lunar eclipse is equivalent to an extra potent full moon, the effects of a lunar eclipse bring permanent finalities. A numinous portal shaking up internal and external foundations, eclipses shed light on the areas we’ve outgrown and/or no longer serve our highest truth. More often than not, a lunar eclipse will bring emphasis to the things we’ve become too attached to, as well as what needs to be let go of, in order for us to surrender. This celestial event occurs three to four times each year, and somehow never ceases to catapult us towards our destiny, both individually and as a collective.

When exploring the energy of a lunar eclipse, it’s no wonder we’re not always able to witness this event from our view on planet Earth, as its lack of visibility goes hand-in-hand with the shadow of the earth that’s casted over the full moon. It's that moment that forces us to explore unfamiliar territories, and consider new options. Granted, this sounds a lot more intimidating when compared to other astrological events but again, there’s no denying the life-altering effects of this celestial occurrence. Keep in mind, eclipses activate the nodes of the moon—a.k.a., the “Nodes of Fate,” given their multidimensionality and karmic influence. The North Node (Gemini) is symbolic of where we’re headed as a collective, while the South Node (Sagittarius) represents what needs to be left behind. Hint: Check which houses belong to these mutable energies in your birth chart.

Often referred to as the “axis of knowledge,” the North Node in Gemini and the South Node in Sagittarius are helping us release the lifestyle, mindset(s), and philosophies we’ve outgrown in order to step into our highest truth. Something else to keep in mind during this time is, Gemini governs the primitive mind while Sagittarius governs the abstract mind; therefore, this eclipse series is mainly highlighting the information you gather firsthand versus the beliefs you've acquired throughout your lifetime. Collective and individual perceptions are transforming, especially when in regards to the “truth.” However, the dynamic and energetic theme of an eclipse changes according to the zodiac sign’s planetary ruler, and astrological aspects at play. Remember, Sagittarius’ planetary ruler, Jupiter, just slipped into mystical Pisces, and this most definitely changes things.

The largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter is symbolic of abundance, bounty, blessings, expansion, faith, and wisdom. Its essence also goes hand-in-hand with miracles, travel, wealth, the law, and higher education. Boundless, compassionate, and right at home via its sign of rulership, Jupiter in Pisces is here to help us tune into the magic swirling through the universal realm. This heavenly transit will inspire us to cultivate a relationship with spirit, amidst surrendering to the heavenly flow in our hearts. Granted, the mutable energy surrounding this eclipse (The Sun, Mercury Retrograde-Venus-North Node in Gemini, Moon in Sagittarius + Jupiter in Pisces) could trigger feelings of confusion and restlessness, as it is bound to create a sense of indecision. However, this is precisely where the essence of Jupiter in Pisces comes in, as the larger-than-life choices we’ve quietly contemplated could make absolutely no sense in the third dimension, and yet somehow feel crystal clear in the 5D.

Would you believe me if I told you that your intuition already knows the answer? This is the paradox of this lunar eclipse in Sagittarius. In the meantime, take a moment to reflect on the foundation of “your truth.” Does this personal philosophy contradict your dreams? Again, lunar eclipses trigger intense change as there’s something here for us to release. What are you ready to let go of? Jupiter will form an audacious T-square with the sun and moon, expanding and magnifying everything from the divinity of your inner knowing, to the hopes inside of us we can no longer deny. The Gemini sun highlights the “logical facts,” while the moon represents what brings us emotional comfort, but the square to Jupiter is challenging us to integrate the magic of our intuition in the process. So if a dream come true isn’t making logical sense at the moment, it’s because we’re being guided to trust the “truth” we don’t see.

After all, Pisces is the sign of faith, hope, dreams, mysticism, and universal love. Just because we can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there, right? Don’t get me wrong, leaning on the divine when making a life-altering choice could seem delusional, but do we ever really know? It’s time to surrender to your soul’s truth. Not to worry, Jupiter thrives in Pisces; it’s here to bestow us with abundance, blessings, and magic, but this story is just beginning. Don’t hesitate to call upon your angels, spirits, and guides during this time. A beautiful awakening is taking place, but by that same token, there is also a need to release what no longer resonates with our highest good. Gemini’s celestial ruler (Mercury) is also sitting a few degrees away from Venus, and both of these heavenly bodies are clashing with Pisces’ ruler, Neptune. This adds another layer of uncertainty, as Mercury can’t see things clearly when in contact with ambiguous Neptune.

Nevertheless, consider this your official cue to test the power of your intuition. Trust in the changes you’re experiencing internally, as well as the magic you’re manifesting at a soul level. If we had access to the “common sense” we seek to validate our future plans, we would never trust in the ability to surrender.

Read below your full moon lunar eclipse horoscope and reflection, according to your zodiac sign:

Aries

Your challenge throughout this eclipse journey, should you choose to accept it, is to keep an open mind, Aries. The lunar eclipse in Sagittarius will touch down on your ninth house of expansion, faith, wisdom, and self-discovery, propelling you towards unknown territory. While the sun highlights your mindset and immediate environment, the eclipse of the moon will bring closure and clarity to themes surrounding your belief systems, and whether or not this philosophy is serving you. A square to almighty Jupiter encourages you to go within, and cultivate a relationship with spirit, in order to gain the knowledge you’ve been seeking. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: What belief systems have you willingly surrendered in the past six months?

Taurus

In addition to shedding your snakeskin and rising like a Phoenix from the ashes, this eclipse series is teaching you how to embrace the changes that are brewing within you, Taurus. Nevertheless, the first eclipse of the year will activate your suspicious eighth house of debt, sex, energetic exchanges, spiritual relations, and soulmate connections, highlighting everything from your philosophy on sex to your unconscious desires for profound change. At odds with larger-than-life Jupiter via your experimental eleventh house of individual freedom, your unconventional dreams and sense of belonging in the world may or may not align with your “definition” of stability, but nothing’s supposed to stay the same. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: Are you holding onto parts of you that have already expired?

Gemini

There’s a difference between your genuine desire to commit vs. your ability to compromise, Gemini. A plethora of planets continues to energize and revitalize your mutable mind, but it’s important for you to be discerning about your needs, and approach to others during this time. Hovering over your committed seventh house of significant others, a lunar eclipse via your polar opposite sign is highlighting everything from your personal and professional partnerships, to the foundation of your union. A square to the eclipse’s ruler, Jupiter, via your tenth house of career, reputation, and legacy, you could feel a tug-of-war between your current commitments vs. chasing the occupation of your dreams. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: Do your personal & professional partners support you on your journey?

Cancer

You’re being guided to cultivate a healthy synergy between your mind, body, and soul, Cancer. A lunar eclipse will touch down on your responsible sixth house of health, due diligence, and divine duties, bringing closure and clarity to themes surrounding your habitual processes, and work routine. Sitting in a tricky T-Square with bountiful Jupiter via your lucky ninth house of expansion, travel, philosophy, and unknown territory, you’re being challenged to reflect on whether or not your day-to-day rituals coincide with your goals for the future. You’re no stranger to dreaming a little dream but you’re being divinely guided towards a brand new mission, and well... some adjustments are required. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: How can you integrate your relationship with source into your daily life?

Leo

You’re releasing the people, places, and things that no longer live in your heart space, Leo. The full moon lunar eclipse will illuminate your flamboyant fifth house of love, passion, pleasure, and creative expression, propelling you towards a brand new atmosphere and new beginning that’s in divine alignment with your soul journey. The challenge, you ask? A square to almighty Jupiter via your intimate eighth house of sex, mergers, and soul bonds, requires you detach yourself from energetic, financial, and spiritual entanglements for your highest good. Keep in mind, this could also be residual energies and/or psychic baggage stifling your love life, and inspiration.  Lunar Eclipse Reflection: What psychic burdens and emotional attachments are you holding onto?

Virgo

The truth was always in your heart, Virgo. A powerful full moon lunar eclipse will activate your ancestral fourth house of home, family, emotional foundations, and innermost feelings, highlighting everything from the belief systems you’ve acquired early on in life, to the legacy you’re currently pondering about. At odds with expansive Jupiter via your committed seventh house of agreements, negotiations, and one-on-one relationships, a divine partner and/or ideal relationship might seem contradicting to the path you’re currently on, but not for long. On another note, this  eclipse is asking you to release the need to compromise your freedom for the sake of another. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: Are you building an authentic foundation for yourself, or submitting to an outdated belief?

Libra

If you’re overwhelmed with curiosity, why not discover the truth for yourself? The first lunar eclipse of the year will activate your mercurial third house of communication, siblings, thought process, and local networks, encouraging you to take a leap of faith when in regards to your immediate surroundings. Whether it be relocating to a different neighborhood, or obtaining a brand new skill, your perception is shifting. A challenging square to bountiful Jupiter via your responsible sixth house of health, daily rituals, and acts of service will require you to make the necessary sacrifices but rest assured, this is all for your highest good. Some of you might even decide to take a small but well-deserved hiatus from the daily grind. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: How has your perception of yourself and the people around you changed in the last six months?

Scorpio

Remember who you are, and what you’re capable of, Scorpio. The full moon lunar eclipse will illuminate your stability-seeking second house of comfort, income, spending habits, cherished possessions, and value systems, highlighting everything from your financial freedom—or lack thereof—to your definition of “security.” The catch? A powerful square to King of the Gods, Jupiter, via your authentic fifth house of love, passion, and pleasure, you’re being challenged to trust in the infinite possibilities when it comes to your love life, and happiness in general. Perhaps your soul’s truth and unique authenticity lies beyond your comfort zone? Trust your intuitive knowing. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: How has your version of emotional fulfillment & sense of self worth evolved since the beginning of the year?

Sagittarius

This one’s got your name on it and chances are, you can already feel the shift, Sagittarius. As the first lunar eclipse of the year touches down on your sign, you’re being guided to reflect, review, and re-evaluate everything from your personal needs to your life priorities, but there’s more. A stellium of energy continues to activate your relationship sector, so don’t hesitate to revisit a pending conversation that’s long overdue. Cross your t’s and dot your i’s; a square your planetary ruler, Jupiter, via your domestic fourth house of home, family, and emotional foundations, requires you to decide whether or not you feel at home within yourself. Maybe your internal longing for bliss and freedom catches the people around you off guard, but it’s not their truth to decide. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: When you go deep within to reunite with yourself, how do you feel?

Capricorn

Repressed emotions and beliefs could come up for review during this time, Capricorn. And despite whether you’re comfortable with the thought of expressing yourself freely, the lunar eclipse in Sagittarius will touch down on your unconscious twelfth house of closure, dreams, clandestine affairs, hidden agendas, and karmic patterns, in order to liberate you from psychic baggage and belief systems that have been stifling your soul’s truth. At odds with almighty Jupiter via your mercurial third house of communication, siblings, thought process, and immediate surroundings, sometimes having the right intentions goes far beyond communicating the “right words,” but something needs to be cleared, and released. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: What belief system and/or perception blocks you from truly opening up?

Aquarius

There’s no such thing as an individual without a community of like-minded individuals behind it, and you know this more than anyone, Aquarius. But with a full moon lunar eclipse activating your socially conscious eleventh house of associations, community, extended family, and individual freedom, a part of you could feel somewhat detached from your tribe, or perhaps as though you’ve outgrown a particular network. Who are you without the freedom to be yourself? A square to almighty Jupiter via your stability-seeking second house of money, possessions, and value systems, could challenge you to reflect on whether you’ve been over sacrificing, or perhaps not owning up to your self-worth. Granted, not everyone is worthy of your magic, but this doesn’t give you a reason to dim your bright light. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: How can you cultivate your unique charms & gifts without oversharing?

Pisces

The spotlight’s on you, and the ball’s in your court, Pisces dear. A full moon lunar eclipse will touch down on your public tenth house of ambition, career, legacy, and reputation in the world, highlighting everything from your professional status to your philosophy on “success.” What makes this celestial occurrence that much more interesting is, it will simultaneously clash with your traditional ruler, Jupiter, amidst a magical voyage through your mutable waters. Granted, you could’ve very well settled into a stable occupation with a reliable income, but does this life choice actually, truly, wholeheartedly resonate with you at a soul level? Perhaps this is an opportunity for you to reflect on your upbringing and traditions, especially if it involves family expectations. Nevertheless, it’s time for you to sail away in your own ship. Lunar Eclipse Reflection: Do you believe in yourself & have faith in the pursuit of your dreams?
