Welcome to eclipse season 2020.
There’s something undoubtedly unique about Mother Moon and her mystical phases. Each month, we are blessed with the visceral luxury of depending on her eerie darkness, full moon bloom, and everything else in between, for divine insight. La Luna is a heavenly portal between the conscious and the unconscious. She is the most ancient symbol of the feminine psyche and every so often, she joins forces with Father Sun, creating a powerful synergy and potent lunation, also known as an eclipse. An astronomical phenomenon, more than often feared in ancient civilizations, eclipses activate the Nodes of Fate (North and South Node) and bring about momentous change. These cosmic events serve as powerful catalysts for growth, both personally and collectively. The energetic essence of an eclipse depends on the lunar nodes and with the Nodes of Fate (North Node and South Node) activating the axis of Gemini-Sagittarius — aka the axis of knowledge — the upcoming eclipses will revolve around expanding your conscious awareness.
The first of the Gemini-Sagittarius eclipse series will be a full moon penumbral lunar eclipse in Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius, and this will take place on June 5 at exactly 3:12 p.m. ET. (FYI: A penumbral eclipse can easily be confused with a regular full moon phase. It happens when the sun, Earth, and moon are imperfectly aligned, as opposed to a total lunar eclipse when the sun, Earth, and moon are exactly aligned.) As you know, the full moon phase is a symbol of spiritual completion and while the full moon lunar eclipse also brings endings, its potency surpasses the full moon’s effects by a longshot. In expansive Sagittarius — amidst its planetary ruler retrogrades through Capricorn — this lunation brings forth the opportunity to say goodbye to the mindset, lifestyle, and philosophies you’ve outgrown, in order to welcome in the new.
