Your Full Moon In Capricorn Horoscope & Reflection, According To Your Zodiac Sign

Nothing is supposed to stay the same, and the ebb and flow of your spiritual journey is no exception. If you’ve been mentally drifting, or perhaps seeking more clarity in a situation, don’t be discouraged by the uncertainty you’re feeling in the present moment. You have to remember, with Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, and Neptune retrograde, things could feel as though they’re at a complete stand still, but by that same token, this pause should not be taken for granted. When a planet retrogrades, it slows down, and the current astro-weather is encouraging you to do the same. Just in time for a sweet interlude, and a brand-new astrological season, the sun enters Cancer on the summer solstice—Sunday, June 20 at 11:31 p.m. EST—which, in turn, presents you with the opportunity to go inward, and reflect on the shift of energy within and all around you. Governed by the moon—a heavenly portal between the conscious and unconscious—Cancer’s cardinal water is fueled by the heart and an infinite source of feeling. What makes you feel safe?

In the event of this moon-ruled season, harnessing the power of Mother Moon’s many phases is key. The lunar cycle resonates with the cycle of death and rebirth, just like a seed’s germination process. A symbol of our inner world, Luna sheds light on our innermost feelings and intuitive instincts. The new moon phase is a time to start again; the waxing crescent phase is a time to set intentions and ponder ways to take action; the first quarter phase is for making decisions; the waxing gibbous phase is for reflecting on your progress thus far, and the full moon phase is for seeing the truth for yourself. This occurs when the moon sits directly opposite the sun which, in turn, creates a spiritual equilibrium between our inner and outer worlds. The sun being a symbol of one’s physical reality and the moon, our emotional world. In the attempt to create balance, this year’s full moon in Capricorn will reach its peak of fullness on Thursday, June 24 at 2:40 p.m. EST.

Governed by Father Time—the planet of boundaries, limits, responsibility, and structure—the essence of Capricorn provides us with a foundation that allows us to solidify our life purpose. What do you want your legacy to be about? What would you tell the world upon reaching the top of the mountain? Depicted by the constellation of a mythical goat¸—half-fish, half-goat to be exact—Capricorn’s archetype is a representation of our spiritual roots, and the way we cultivate our soul purpose in this lifetime. The goat is patient and determined but ultimately led by something universal. Keep in mind, in addition to considering the effects of Saturn retrograde—especially when referring to a Saturn-ruled lunation—it’s important to note that this will be the first Capricorn full moon since January 2019 that isn’t an eclipse. And though we’re still coming down from our lunar-solar eclipse hangover, this lunation will feel different when compared to the others. Having said that, it’s time to check which of the 12 astrological houses in your birth chart belong to 3 degrees of Capricorn.

As you know, a full moon occurs when the sun directly opposes the moon; the moon’s light is equivalent to an emotional climax of sorts, illuminating something that’s been hidden from our conscious mind. This is where we’re being guided to reflect and release. (For more reference, think back to the new moon in Capricorn that took place on Jan. 13, 2021) Something else to remember is, the energetic theme stemming from this lunation will be “Saturnian,” which is typically seen as pragmatic, responsible, and serious. Moreover, these Capricorn themes are bringing forth the opportunity for you to revisit, reflect, and closely analyze everything you’ve accomplished, and whether or not these personal and/or professional milestones were built upon a solid foundation. Putting in the work and cultivating perseverance is a start, but we’re also being challenged to really identify our priorities in the process.

This could be anything from an occupation that’s no longer in alignment with your truth, to revisiting a project that hasn’t been properly executed. It’s important to also recognize whether or not you’re being productive in your day-to-day life, in order to become more disciplined. Coming off a powerful square to freedom-loving Uranus, Saturn Rx in Aquarius is in the process of shedding light on what needs to be restructured and/or wiped out of our lives, especially if it no longer resonates with your future goals. After all, the essence of Aquarius has everything to do with innovation, progression, and individuality; therefore, it is crucial that we use our discernment, as the people, places, and situations being highlighted during this time may or may not match the frequency of our soul’s destiny. In harmony with Mercury and the North Node in Gemini, Saturn will bestow us with some sense of direction, even though its retrograde. Remember, retrograde energies are turned inward, so this is where we fully absorb and internally process this next phase of our lives.

Also, the essence of Mercury-ruled Gemini has everything to do with communication, connections, information, and internal dialogue, so this energy is speaking to the mercurial themes we’re actually willing to invest in… or maybe not? Swimming at 27 degrees of sentimental Cancer, harmony-seeking Venus will be sitting directly opposite of smoldering Pluto, the planet of transformation, regeneration, and everything hidden beneath the surface. In Cancer, Venus can be a bit nostalgic and overly sensitive but powerhouse Pluto is challenging us to confront what we’re not seeing, whether it be personally, professionally, and/or in terms of our finances. If Venus is nurturing, understanding, and sensitive, Pluto is cathartic, cut-throat, and deeply revealing. Nevertheless, Venus in Cancer still encourages us to trust our inner knowing, and intuitive instincts in the process. On a much brighter note, lucky Jupiter comes in to save the day, as it will be in harmony with both the sun and the moon. So if your full moon moment feels harsh or stressful, Jupiter’s essence will make it easier to let go, and let God.

Full Moon Reflection: What commitments are no longer worthy of your investment? Are your collaborations built on solid ground?
